Destination Love: Egypt

I would love to go to Egypt mainly for the ancient history; I absolutely loved learning about the Egyptians in primary school! The one thing that puts me off: the heat. I don't think I'll be able to bear it :( Anyway, I think it's amazing how some of these 'ancient wonders' have lasted so many centuries:
The Pyraminds of Giza

The Sphinx

Egyptian Museum in Cairo

Abu Simbel

Luxor Temple

Taking a felucca on the Nile

A Camel Ride
Temples of Karnak

Valley of the Kings

  1. Hi there,
Iam an Egyptian who used to go through your blog every now and then and I really Like your blog.
and here I would like to tell you that you are most welcome to visit Egypt any time and you do not have to worry about the heat , it is not that hot my dear. I have two German friends who come to visit Egypt every year as they are big fans of Egypt and what they most like about Egypt is the warm atmosphere.
I wish you would come soon.
I am sure you will enjoy everything here.
my German friends come visited Egypt for more than 20 times and they still come and every time they discover something new about the antiquities, the nature, the deserts, the natives, the cultures ... and more.

    again you are most welcome.
    kindest regards,
    your Egyptian friend

  2. I would love to go to Egypt for the exact same reasons, I've wanted to ever since I seen the movie "The Mummy" basically lol!

I'd be scared about the heat too but then again, other places like Italy and Australia are hot too so I think we'd just have to deal with it!

  3. I adored Egypt at one point in my life, and did my best to learn EVERYTHING about its ancient culture. Haven't been there yet though, but these beautiful pictures kind of reawakened that old spark.

  4. The Valley of the Kings looks amazing! I've always wanted to go to Egypt too, because learning about its history was always so interesting. And who doesn't want to see the Nile? :)

  5. Baskouta, ah thank you! I hope I'll be able to travel there someday :)

Hazel, very true! And, I know The Mummy is such a good film :D

The Rambler, I would love to learn more about the culture of the Egyptians. I hope one day you have the chance to visit too :)
