Mr. Snow - How I Thank You...

Since last week it has been non-stop snow where I live and it's definitely getting me in a more christmasy mood. This is the second day off this week and heavy snow is forecast tomorrow. Another day off tomorrow? Fingers crossed.
Yesterday my twin brothers primary school was off too so off I went with my mam (who had to take the day off as she couldn't get to work), Ben, Daniel and Jess to the field - ready for a good-old snowball fight! I would like to say I won but both of my brothers mangaged to hit me in the side of the head and once down my coat leaving me absolutely freezing. haha. What did they get in return? Snow in their face of course.

(The Angel of North, Newcastle-upon-Tyne)

As my mam and dad were able to get to work today because the roads are clearer, I'm babysitting looking after my six year old brothers. And - another snowball fight with the dog running mad on the field is on the cards.
I would say it is definitely better to have younger siblings - especially in the winter as you have a good reason for running mad on the field covered in snow!
Then we'll come back, put the fire on and watch a film :)

Anyway I'm off now to tidy away late breakfast dishes. What's the weather like where you live?

Snow, Snow, Snow

So as expected by everyone in the North East, the snow has begun to fall this year - and early! It began yesterday morning with a thin covering and by last night it started coming down fast. And, when I woke up this morning at seven am and looked out of my window, there was a blanket of snow covering the street, the road, the cars, the houses and soon... me when I would have to leave my warm house for the freezing bus stop.

By quarter past eight this morning, the snow had stopped falling but pulling on my ankle boots, my coat, scarf and gloves I left for the bus stop - over the road. Our bus - the Scholars - is supposed to come at 20 past but as usual it was late, however much later than usual - as expected! After freezing at the bus stop until ten past nine! with a few people from my year and my friend, a bus turned up going in the
direction we needed.

Let's just say it was a very cold morning. The only good thing was lessons were postponed to 10.30 not the usual 9.00 because the school was seeing how many people were in and waiting for teachers to turn up.

Anyway when I came back home, the snow began to fall again and as the rest of our school are hoping - it will carry on and hopefully start to freeze, meaning a day off school therefore a long weekend! Wooo. Lets hope so.

According to the weather forecast this morning it is the earliest snow that has fallen in the UK since 17 years ago! Gosh! And this weather is expected to last another ten days. If that means more days off school I don't actually mind :)
Snowy weather calls for a nice warm blanket, the fire on, a good DVD and a lovely hot chocolate. Yummm....

I hope we have a white christmas this year!

An Update Of My Life...

Hey everyone - hope your having a great week so far! My week has been pretty good so far, nothing major has happened to make me remember and talk about those days for months to come but me and my friends have laughed, I've got on with homework, read some more, watched the TV, listened to music etc. etc. - so nothing too exciting - just ordinary.

I can't believe how fast this year has gone! - Next Wednesday is the 1st of December :o I am actually shocked. Everything has went over so fast, or is that just me? The boring hours of lessons at school have turned into long days of just another week, of just another month. It will be snowing before long, especially with how cold it is getting. Five things that I can actually remember and have loved this year so far and ones that are coming up....

01. Rihanna + Leona Lewis in Concert!

02. Halkidi, Greece in June

03. Down South with the family

04. London in December with the friends :)

05. My Sixteenth

I've done loads of things this year been away to Bamburgh, Windsor, London and Greece as mentioned above and had a pretty good year so far. Have you got any events that you remember?

Anyway back to the present... the weather is wet, dull and dreary but that is Newcastle for you I suppose - especially at this time of the year and for where I live. But Christmas, London and my birthday is around the corner - literally:

- 15th - 17th December: London
- 20th: My Sixteenth Birthday
- 25th: Christmas
- 31st: New Year's Eve :)

I am actually really excited for London already - woo! Five things that I am loving at the minute:

01. Snuggling in bed with my book or watching a DVD

02. My lovely little dog Jess

03. Literally just being snuggled up with warm layers of clothing

04. Listening to Alicia Keys + Jennifer Hudson - their voices are amazing

05. The amazing Rebecca Ferguson from the X Factor - her voice is stunning
- please listen to these and I am sure you will agree she is incredible:

Versions of :

And to finish, a quote that I found and loved:

'When I grow up and my daughter asks me who my first love was I don't want to take out the photo albums, I just want to point across the room and say there he is.'

- Me to the love of my life

As much as I would love for this to happen, I don't think it will and I don't think I want it to because I think you need to experience the make-ups and break-ups of different relationships even though it may be unpleasant. It makes you stronger after all. Nonetheless, I love the sweetness of the quote.

Hope you have had a lovely day (:

P.S . I forgot to mention, my twitter is not working if anyone has started following or if you just look at my tweets on my blogger. When I sign in the pages are blank and the toolbar says 'Error' and I can't view it - if you have any ideas how I can fix it please let me know. Thanks :)

The Versatile Blogger Award :)

When I came onto Blogger today, I had a lovely suprise - an award. Wooop! My first one from Meleonie over at Ramblings of a Teenage Dreamer, which I have loved reading as her posts are always uplifting and very honest. So thank you, thank you, thank you :)

The conditions of this lovely award :)...
1. Thank and link back to who gave you the award.
2. Share 7 things about yourself.
3. Pass it along to 7 blogs you've recently discovered and enjoy.
4. Leave the recipients a comment, telling them about the award

So here goes: seven things about myself...

1. I have a nut allergy and it's obviously a pain in the (nice way of putting it-) ass! I have to check every single wrapper everytime I eat something new!

2. Snuggling in bed, under the duvet, is one of my favourite things to - rain or shine!

3. Everytime I get a comment from my followers and get a new follower, it always puts a smile on my face!

4. I love wrapping Christmas presents because not only does it make me feel Christmasy, I find it really therapeutic!

5. Lying on my bed and thinking is one thing that I absolutely love doing - letting my mind wander (like in my time to smile post)!

6. Walks on the beach are one of my favourite things to do:
summer or winter!

7. I have never been ice-skating before and would love to but... I'm scared of falling over and maybe ... slicing my hand on the blades - Ouch!

The seven blogs that I have recently discovered...and love to read:

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend and thank you once again Meleonie :)

Time to Remember ♥

Remembrance Day
11.11.10

I hope everyone had the chance today to contribute to the 2 minute silence at eleven this morning. At our school we stood outside (in the freezing cold and wind) to remember all of those who fought in WW1 and those who are still fighting today for our country. As 'The Last Post' was played by the music teacher at our school, our silence of remembering began.

Baby, your a firework!

Okay so I am in love with Katy Perry's new album and new single 'Firework' and tonight was obviously Bonfire Night which meant firework displays - which I love going to! So tonight was pretty good as at the firework display, Katy Perry's song was one of the songs played during the massive bonfire.

(this bonfire is tiny in comparison to the one that was there!)

The fireworks were pretty impressive, the colours were really pretty and very loud. But the louder the better! I have to say I love more or less all kinds and the finale was of huge fireworks that came down as a sort of waterfalls towards the crowds and crowds of people. There were thousands there! And, as an added bonus it was not even that cold which is very surprising at this time of year for where I live.

I had a really good night and found it actually quite relaxing, gazing up at the sky watching the colours burst and explode above me.

Did you do anything this Bonfire Night? - visit a bonfire, firework display or just stay at home watching them from your window?

To my closet friends... (my reply)

Okay, so I debated about whether to write this post after todays events but I feel like I need to air my side of view and I hate how I feel that is directed just at you - it isn't. It was just because you wrote about it on your blog too :) I think you both need to understand my point of view and not straight away say 'no we didn't, no we didn't' because yes yous did and I hate being seen as the bad guy in this because to be quite honest I haven't done anything wrong.

'Three's a Crowd' This saying wasn't made because it had no truth in it - it does but not all the time. Before now everything was fine but as you grow older, you change as a person -it's only natural after all and I know I have but not in a negative way. I've been described as too 'mature' and that 'I don't laugh enough' by both of you. To me this is actually ridiculous and I could actually laugh about it because if my two closet friends think this is a correct description of me, I have to question if they actually no me at all. Yes I am mature, I'm nearly 16, but to me this is not a bad thing. Important exams are coming up, and at this time you make future decisions about what you want to do and yes, I do my work, get my results and 'stick-in' school but if that means I'm too mature than I'm sorry but I'm not going to change. And, for the 'I don't laugh enough' its actually a crazy thing to say - of course I laugh at funny things, maybe not all the time but how does that put me in a bad light. I do not take everything too seriously, even though you think I do! Maybe I just don't laugh and giggle as much as you do but not everybody is the same and think the same things are funny! So to me, what you said is totally untrue and I have people that will account for that.

When it came to both of you fancying two boys in our year, I wasn't bothered, of course I wasn't but what I felt and said about your obsessive stalking habits was pushed aside. Yes, it was a bit of fun and you really liked them, I just feel like I was left out and maybe you didn't realise ... but I did try and tell you. As you said in your blog boys shouldn't get in the way of friendships and I suppose in a few ways they did, you apologised today and I forgave because I was kinda over it. You don't need to apologise for liking them and I also thought it was fun, but not all the time and you need to understand that.

This next part may become over a little harsh but it's probably because it is the part I feel most strongly about it. You both have no right to say that 'Sometimes you are too overprotective and treat us like children when we have a laugh' (quote directly from your blog) This is totally not true and I think it's totally unfair for you to say this as I know for a fact that I do not treat you as if you are children and that I try to be your mother (as you said today) - I don't want to be, I'm 15!! I don't put yous down for something that I don't find funny and I am your friend. Remember that please.

Next, on the agenda is the fact that you talk about me behind my back - whether that be little things or a full blown rant. You will probably deny this when you first read it, but it is true. Everyone says little things but and no one can help it but it isn't nice when you find out from someone else. If you have a problem, please just say it to my face! I would actually prefer that so I know what the issue is and what you actually think about me. And, also just a small point to say I don't care if you do things without me after school, I honestly don't really care, but don't try to hide it from me to protect my 'feelings' because if that was the case you wouldn't do it behind my back. Don't say you didn't hide it - you did!

Finally, there were only TWO times you asked me to come out with both of you and I was busy - ONCE when I was invited to sleep at one of your houses - I couldn't come because a) I would be back late from the Metro Centre with my grandma and b) I though it may be awkward with us falling out earlier on in the week - and I told you all this. Also, ONCE when you asked me to come out around where we live on a Sunday, I couldn't come because I was out with my family - which I also told you. So that was TWO times NOT MORE so please don't say it was. I'm not the only who hasn't attended am I, sometimes we can't all be free on that one day, so don't make out that I am the only one and try to make me feel guilty about it. Because I don't and won't.
Oh, and I invite our other friend (no names mentioned) because she is also my friend and I like going as a four. Sorry if you have a problem with that, just say so... and not behind my back. I don't see how it is a bad thing that I invited her to the cinema with us, you invite people too.

And on a more pleasant note, I hope that we are not too different to still be friends but things haven't been right for a couple of months. I know its not know ones fault in particular but things have obviously turned this way for a reason. All friends have their ups and downs. We've had plenty of both but more ups I can only name a few off the top of my head but maybe this was just one of our 'downs' - a pretty big one - but a 'down' all the same. Things can only look up, can't they? Like you said water under the bridge. x

(Oh and I am sorry that it seems to all be focused on you but you're the one that seems to be the spokesman in all of this haha and it isn't just aimed at you)

i would love...

...to have the courage to go skydiving
(but I probably never will! hehe)
