I Want A Love Letter

To think of how time has changed over the past few decades, it's unbelievable. Where has the time gone when people sent love letters not quick emails or texts full of text speak, for example - i luv u bbz! Now please tell me how romantic that is in your eyes because it's not in mine. To start with I am not a fan of text speak.
I don't have a boyfriend so maybe I don't have a leg to stand on but when I do I don't want crappy affections of love - I want romance and well thought about affection. I'm not against texts but I want one more along the lines of - I love you xx.

When you see films where guys sweep girls off their feet, they seem to have gone and guys try to pick girls up with cheesy chat up lines while out getting drunk in a club. Where are the times when sex was a taboo word? Now people are so open about their sex lives. There are so many different 'labels' out there for so many people when there shouldn't be. One time there was just gay, straight and bisexual. Now there are hundreds of names that people just make up.

It just seems that I'm a girl who still wants to have a romantic twist to a relationship when I'm older. Little love notes left around the house, odd gifts - not even expensive ones but ones which have a meaning. It could be something worth fifty pence but it would be something that would have had a lot of thought put it into it or would mean something to us.

So, listen up guys! Maybe girls have now stopped believing in fairy tale endings where Prince Charming comes along but there is still room for romantic deeds to show the girl you're with that you love her. Sometimes actions speak louder than words.

Hello, again.

I'm very sorry for my lack of posts. My leaver's day at school was on Friday and I'm just waiting on more pictures to be uploaded on Facebook as I didn't actually take any on my camera. So, I'll be back soon with pictures from the day. Me and my friends went out on the nighttime and spent the night with drunken people from our school! It feels quite bizarre to have actually officially left school and that I only have to go in for revision and exams after next week. I'm excited to say I've left and what September will bring but it's quite sad to think that people that I spend lessons with, I may never see them again.

I was thinking of doing a little Q&A session for my blog, where you will ask the questions and I obviously answer them. My initial idea was to do it as a little video but I'm not sure if I'll be able to with my temperamental camera. Anyway, I would love it if I would be able to do it so you could all learn more about me. So please, please ask me some questions by commenting on this post. Hope the rest of your weekend is really good! :)

Okay, I know I haven't stuck to my plan.

You may all recall that I said I wanted to blog more but where the hell has this week gone? And, I haven't posted since Sunday! I've had three more exams this week and then I have another on Friday (and then 9 out of 16 more to go) so I blame the fact that I've been revising for the lack of posts. But anyway, two more days to go! I am honestly really excited to be having our leavers day on Friday and then having shirt signing! Then I'm on study leave where I only have to go into school for revision classes and exams.

This has been a short but sweet post but I'll hopefully be back soon with some more sustained posts. For now, have a great day :)

Weekend Musings

Yesterday, me and my friend Amie went to see Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides. Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow was not a disappointment. He was his usual eccentric, funny self and the film was great. I'm a big fan of the POTC films and so I was really looking forward to the film. I really recommend it - and it was in 3D too!

Today, I got my shoes and my bag for Prom. My dress is red, which I got last week, so my shoes are red too. I don't feel such a smally in them as they have quite a big heel! Let's hope I can last the night in them. All I have to get now is the rest of my jewellery and get the fake tan on! I'm not going for the orange look but just a slight summer tan so I don't look so white! My mam is also trying to book a hair appointment for me so things are looking up.

Now, I'm off to do some much needed revision for my English Literature and Physics exams which I have on Tuesday and Wednesday. To be quite honest I'm a bit worried about them as I feel really under prepared even though I have already done quite a lot of work on them. I think a few past papers are in need. Fingers crossed, I'll be fine!

I've Realised....

... That I am a bit of a Blogger Binger. Confused? I'll explain.

I've noticed that I go through phases of blogging all the time and then not blogging for days. For example, this week I posted on Monday and now this post is on Friday. I like to blog more! But I just don't have any ideas/ inspiration at the moment - as it's all exams, revision, exams, revision. Aghh! Then, when I did my recent 15 day challenge, I blogged every day and then had loads of posts after, which I had decided to do whilst completing the challenge. Therefore, in my eyes I am a blogger binger. (pronounced binge but with an r)

I would post about my daily musings, but to be quite honest, they're not that interesting - it's all school, exams, revision, school, exams - get where I'm coming from yet? I'm sitting my final GCSE's in May and June and the stressful thing is - I'm stressed about NOT being stressed.

Anyway, this is my little rant for today. I've noticed I don't talk that negatively on my blog that much as it's all about being positive and not letting things get to you, right? Or else I would be posting some pretty boring stuff and you would be sick and tired of the rants and things that annoy me, haha. I am off to see Pirates of the Caribbean tomorrow - so a post idea here? I think so. Even though this is off topic - in regards to the book I'm reading in the sidebar, things have been haltered from getting into the book due to revision. I hope to be able to finish it soon but I'm finding it quite hard to get stuck into it but I'll give it al little more time :)

Hopefully, I'll be posting normally again next week (I like to post at least four times a week) and I hope you all have a great weekend. What are you all up to?

My Weekend Was Such A Great One!

Hello everyone. Hope your Monday was good, mine was very very tiring! I'll explain in a mo. I've had such a good weekend. It was very busy but very worth it!

On Saturday, I finally got my prom dress! I was so pleased because after my friends got their dresses one/two weeks ago, I think I was the only one left in the year who didn't have one yet. Mine's from Coast and this is it below. This isn't the best picture but what do you think? :)

I've spotted the shoes I want to get and then I just have to accessorize with a clutch, jewellery and decide how to wear my hair. I'm wearing it down but that's all I know so far. It's not 'till the end of June so I have plenty of time, right?

On Sunday, it was time for RADIO 1's BIG WEEKEND!!! I was really excited and even though it was raining in Carlisle we didn't get that wet as we went in the Main Stage (which was a HUGE tent) as soon as we got in. This is who I was able to see with my friend: (and I'm not just saying this but they were all amazing!)

- Bruno Mars
- The Wombats
- Polarsets
- Two Door Cinema Club
- Masters in France
- The Script
- Noah and The Whale
- My Chemical Romance
- Lady Gaga

I seen snippets of Taio Cruz and Katy B when we walking to different tents or off to get food or listen to the Outdoor Stage. Lady GaGa was twenty minutes late and arrived in a coffin, which took her ages and ages to get out. But she was really, really good!

The Script - number 1 fan right here!

We left Carlisle at 10.55 and it took an hour and half to get out of Carlisle Airport and then an hour to get home instead of an hour and a half as the roads were obviously empty at this time. I got home at half one, went to bed at twenty to two and then woke up at ten to seven. As you can imagine I was very tired when I got up for school. And, then to top it all off I had two exams today - an English exam for an hour and three quarters and then a French exam in the afternoon, which lasted around an hour.

(4) At The Moment I'm Loving:

These two songs

Birdy - Skinny Love

This first song is sang by a 14 year old girl and is a cover of Bon Iver's Skinny Love. I love this song, her voice is so lovely for someone so young. I can't stop listening to it!

Polarsets - Leave Argentina

This band is from Newcastle in the UK, my hometown (wahey!) They have released a few songs and my favourite is this one below. When I go to Radio 1's Big Weekend on Sunday me and my friend are definitely going to the stage that they're on!

It's As Easy As 1 2 3

Around a week ago Taylor at Anticipation posted some numbers of how long it was until certain things happened. I think this is a great way to put things into perspective and to see how some things are so close it's exciting and how some are scarily close. Aghh!

1 year (well in five days) since my first ever blog post
4 days until Radio 1's Big Weekend
5 days until my first exam
12 days (and counting) until I come off my school timetable and after a week, I only go back to school for revison and my exams
15 weeks until I get my GCSE results (but I'm not even going to think about this one because I haven't even done any yet!)
16 exams I have to take during May and July
48 days until my last GCSE exam - ever!
50 days until Prom (and guess who still doesn't have a dress yet?!)

i would love...

... to go to Niagra Falls, Canada

I think that this waterfall is one thing that everyone should experience in their life. It is the tenth biggest waterfall in the world and looks like it would be a pretty amazing trip.

Make A Wish Today

Whenever I went on walks when I was younger and there were dandelions I would always pick one out of the grass, close my eyes and blow. I came across this photo today and I remembered those times well. Not the yellow ones though, if you picked one of those up, you were destined to pee the bed that night! Well that's what I was always told! :)

Paris: Part 4

This is my final installment of my holiday to Paris. These photos are from when I went to Walt Disney Studio's in Disneyland. We had got sick and tired of waiting in loads of queues after our previous visit to Disneyland two days earlier so we didn't go on many rides. However we went on a really great tour: Studio Tram Tour: Behind the Magic. I won't say anymore but it was surprisingly really good!! We also seen an amazing car stunt show. I'm not that interested in cars and I wouldn't be able to tell you the difference between a Volvo and a Mercedes (two car names I just picked out of my head) but the stunts were very impressive!

Wendy, Peter and Tinkerbell!

The Toy Storey Parachute ride, which I wanted to go on but no one would go with me - Oh well :(

Part of the Studio Tram Tour - this is actually a set from a film. How real does that look!?

May Films

I love going to the cinema with my friends and catching a film, quite a lot really. I even love watching the trailers! These are some films that are coming out in May that I want to see. If I don't catch some of them at the cinema, i'll definitely watch them when they come out because unfortunately I don't have a money tree growing in my back garden. What you think?

Water For Elephants

I love a good old romantic film and this one looks so sweet. I love Reese Witherspoon. I was watching Just Like Heaven the other night, which i haven't seen in ages - great film! And, I love elephants too! As I love reading, I'm definitely going to read the book sometime.

Pirates of the Caribbean 4 - On Stranger Tides

I think it's a shame that Keira Knightly and Orlando Bloom aren't in this film. Elizabeth, Jack and Will were the perfect team for tackling Davy Jones and any others in their way. But I'm glad Johnny Depp is back as Captain Jack. Nobody could suit this role better than him. I'm looking forward to see how Penelope Cruz's character is going to fit in there. I love these films - A pirate's life for me!

The Hangover Part II

I'm curious to see if this one can live up to the first one as that one was just so brilliant and hilarious. I don't think it'll match but I still think it will be funny. I think it could be going along the same lines as part 1. Anyway, it looks like a laugh and if I don't see it at the cinema, I'll definitely get it on DVD or watch it online. Bradley Cooper - yes please! :)
