I never do anything for New Year and I really wish I did. One good thing about 2012: I'll be 18 in December so it'll be off to town hopefully! I think I'm going to do my review of 2011 tomorrow. Oops should have been in 2011 :/ Anyway have a good one! :)

Christmas doesn't feel the same without snow :S
I'm so used to there being snow on the ground or sometimes there is the occasional snowflake that comes down. But nope not this year. It feels really weird that Christmas day is tomorrow when the weather is not even that cold. The weather is completely messed up at the minute - it wasn't even that hot in August, freezing in October and November and now not that cold on Christmas Eve. Then there's some countries that never ever have snow because it's summer for them - yep Australia I'm talking to you. I can't even imagine that. It being summer when Christmas is so weird for me. Okay, I'm going to stop with the strangeness element.
Anyway, I want to wish you all a happy happy Christmas and hope Santa brings all the things you wished for ;) Here's a little Christmas song to get you more in the mood - hope it works for me!

The Run Up To Christmas
I've been busy busy busy this week, which is surprising. I broke up from sixth form on Friday, woo! But I've got to go back on January 3rd, which is pretty crap. I was finally 17 on Tuesday :D I had my first driving lesson ever :S I didn't feel stressed or nervous because I didn't really know what to expect apart from being in the hot seat. I wasn't terrible but I'm looking forward to doing my next lesson.
I've actually just booked my theory test for January. It's really soon but the test is changing for the worse at the end of January, so my driving instructor said it would be best to do it now. The Highway Code that I ordered the other day and it came today - seriously it's so boring! and, I'm sick of reading it already but I'm going to revise, revise, revise so hopefully I don't have to resit a harder test :/
Yesterday, me and my friends went to see Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. It's actually really good! I loved the first one and this one is a great sequel. I'm shit at reviews so I'm not going to even try and do one and I don't want to give away any spoilers. And, my meal at Frankie & Benny's was very yummy :P
I can't believe it's Christmas eve in two days. Woahh! Are you's excited for Christmas? This year has flown over but I'm starting to look forward to the upcoming festive days a lot more. Shame there is no snow at the minute. Having it in December makes me feel really christmassy but I hate it in January. 'Cos to be quite honest January is the most depressing month ever!

It's My Birthday! :D
I'm 17 today!!!!
I've got a two hour driving lesson in 15 minutes - God help me! I'm going to an Italian's tonight with my family. Then tomorrow I'm off to see Sherlock Holmes 2 and go to Frankie & Benny's with my friends. I'll let you know how it all goes soon! :)

Oopsy Daisy
I feel pretty shocking not posting for ageesss and also not reading any posts. So I'm reading all of the posts I've missed from my fave blogs now. The truth is I have no idea what to post about any more. My life pretty much revolves around sixth form, homework, revision for tests, an hour long bus journey to college and another hour back and catching up on TV programmes. So, before I leave you once again, here's Little Mix's new single after they won the X Factor on Sunday night. I'm so pleased they won, and finally a group won! I love the song too. I have a post I've been meaning to do for ages and still haven't got round to doing it. I promise I'll have a few more proper ones very soon as I break up for the xmas holidays on Friday! :D

Ist of...
It's December 1st - Christ, (no pun intended) where has this year gone? It has went so much quicker than last year and that pretty much zoomed by. This year has been a pretty big year for me, in loads of different ways and I am 17 this month! Woo! Anyway this day means:
* 1st door of advent calendar :D
* Xmas decorations go up
* Countdown to my birthday starts - 19 days to go! (even though I'm not doing anything special)
* Countdown to Christmas day starts - 24 days to go!
So in celebration of this little day, I'm doing 1st place (of everything I can think of at the moment) of things for the festive period. Join in too on your blog or in the comments below. I would love to see what you choose :)
Christmas song.... Band Aid - Do They Know It's Christmas
This song has such a lovely meaning to it and is definitely one of my top favourites. Some people don't like the modern one but I do as well!
Christmas advert.... Coca Cola
This may be an old advert but it never gets old for me. Every single year I've loved it. And, the truth is when this first comes on the TV you know it's nearly Christmas.
Chocolate.... Terry's Chocolate Orange
This is seriously one of the best types of chocolate to eat year round but especially at Christmas time!
Favourite board game.... frustration
This was quite hard but I love this game. I love a game of monoploy too though!

Christmas film.... The Snowman + The Grinch
I absolutely adore these films. I used to watch The Snowman year round when I went to my grandmas and Walking In The Air (also another fave song) would send me to sleep! So that's why I have the song by Aled Jones above. This film is so good and I think it's amazing how it has no words. And, The Grinch is just brilliant :)
It's a Sunday dinner with extra food - and an extra twist: you get to pull crackers woo!
Favourite drink.... Bucks Fizz
I love this with my christmas dinner. Sorry but I ain't a fan of baileys :(

Can you think of any other festive things? Let me know, and I'll do them too :P

What? Me? Actually driving a car?
A selection if students from my sixth form were chosen to get a free mini driving lesson today as we always turn up to lessons, have great attendance, good effort blahdy blah you get what I mean. There was ten of us all together and there was two students per instructor and car. It was really weird and it wasn't a proper, proper lesson as it was only on a basketball court 'cos you need a provisional license to drive when you're off the road and you need to be 17 over here. It was actually really good! I didn't crash or stall! Hooray me!! :)
It's funny actually as my mam has booked a two hour lesson on my birthday next month and booked some more hours for me with a different company and then I just need to fit them around me. I'm really pleased I've got a bit of practise in so I don't look like a total failure for the first time with my new instructor. See kids should take note, there are perks if you attend school and do all your work! hehe :D

A Two Minute Silence
There is something that I find so special about Rememberence Day. This thing is that at 11 o'clock on the 11th of November of each year the majority of the people in the UK will all be silent for up to two minutes. How amazing is that?!

November & A Little Update
Hi everyone, I feel like I have been neglecting this blog so much recently! I was supposed to do a post few days ago but I completely forgot - sorry! I have so many of my favourite blogs to catch up on too! It's November, wow. Today was bloody freezing, Jack Frost was out in force this morning whilst I was waiting for the bus at 7.15 am. Things I'm looking forward to this month:
- Countdown to Christmas starts!
- Breaking Dawn Part 1 on the 18th!
- To download Florence and the Machine's new album!
- Christmas shopping starting!
- Wrapping up warm!
- Hot chocolate and films in bed!
On Thursday, my old school (before sixth form) is holding an award ceremony for our year. I think we get our certificates for our GCSE's but I'm not totally sure but also some people have been selected for specific awards for certain subjects. I'm getting one for history, which I'm proper chuffed about as that is my favourite subject and the only one I woud be bothered about getting! I'll give you an update about what happens asap.
How are you all?

Trick or Treat?!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I'm a bit boring and don't do anything for Halloween anymore. Of course when I was younger I loved trick or treating - now it's time for my younger brothers to do the dressing up. They looked really good!

Enrolment
It was finally time for my enrolment day today and me and two friends went in together as we're in the same class and also had the same time. We signed some forms and our A-Level choices were finally confirmed and we get our timetables next Tuesday. I love getting timetables - don't ask why, I'm a freak. My choices are still the same as last time, which I want to do: English Lit, Classics, History and Psychology.
We also found out today that we have a 'bonding' day on Friday, which I'm not looking that forward to. A) The early mornings and early buses will start b) these bonding days include activities such as wheelbarrow races! Not really my cup of tea, but will probably be fun even though I'm dreading making a complete fool out of myself. Then finally next Tuesday we actually start. I'm really looking forward to actually starting after have like ten weeks off!

The Results Are In!
It was really surreal going up to the school at 10am and meeting with friends to collect our GCSE results. After two years of exams, coursework, resits, homework and more bloody exams, it's finally, finally over! I'd like to share with you all my results - haha aghhh I can't believe I finally have GCSE exam results. So, my CV is updated and I must must find a job! Anyway, all I have to do now is wait for sixth form to start!
Dun dun dunnnn.....
1 A*
7 A's
2 B's
2 C's
However my C's were probably in the least important subjects for what I want to do which are BTEC Textiles (so technically a Pass) and Citizenship. I'm proper chuffed! I'm off to watch a DVD in bed because getting up early has tired me out and I've just got back from Frankie & Benny's with my friends so I'm pretty much knackered!

I'm Off...
... well not unitl Monday morning but I thought I'd do a quick post to say cheerio! I'm off to Devon then Cornwall then Devon again for ten days (I think!) I'm coming back just before results day - aghhh so nervous! Anyway, recently I've been reading the Harry Potter books - yes I know, finally! - because I'm such a fan of the films. I read the first three books online, which actually wasn't as bad as I thought but I've decided that I'm going to read the rest in the form of an actual book as they're obviously getting longer. So, today I popped up to my local library to see if I could get the fourth and fifth books (my neighbour has lent me the sixth and seventh) but they were out of stock. Damn!
As I'm such a bookworm, I decided to get some more book to read and take a few away with me. I kinda got six, which I'm hoping I'll be able to read before the time limit's up or I'll have to get an extended date. But no fear, I'm going to see if my neighbour can ask her daughter for the fourth and fifth Harry Potter books. Fingers crosses because they're so addictive and I love learning more than the films tell you! The following books that I got from the library today:
Whispers of Love - Rosie Harris
The Bourne Identity - Robert Ludlum
The Da Vinci Code - Dan Brown
The Help - Kathryn Stockett
The Summer of the Bear - Bella Pollen
Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte
I've wanted to read a couple of these for a while so I'm looking forward to getting stuck into one tonight. I'll let you know how each of the books have turned out when I've finished reading them. There's loads of different genres in this little selection. Anyway, I'm going to leave you as I'll be packing tomorrow and setting off first thing on Monday and I'll see you I get back - hopefully with good GCSE results!!

Another Month Has Been And Gone
It's August! Er what? I can't believe there's probably only one more month of warm weather with the sun shining high as it'll most likely start to get cold again in September. I haven't been posting these last few days because frankly I've been doing nothing! I've just been looking after my twin brothers as they broke up from school a couple of weeks ago and obviously my parents are working. Today I got up much earlier than usual at 8.30am and got the jobs done for my mam, walked the dog and caught up on some T.V. programmes and then went to my friend's house for 11.30am. I then went on another walk with her dog and we were out for ages, got stuck in different fields as my short legs couldn't climb over the barb wire without getting myself hurt, climbed a lot of gates and saw a baby bunny! This showed that where we live is actually more rural than we think! I then went around and picked my brothers up from the childminders (they go one day a week) and looked after them until my parents came home from work. It's been quite a pretty busy day and it's been really humid (ugh!) but I've had a lovely day as I finally could get out the house more apart from walking my dog :)

Rest In Peace
I thought I would have to dedicate a post about this recent event because I'm sure it's such a shock to everyone - me included. Amy Winehouse had such an unusual voice and was such an amazing singer. She battled alcohol and drug problems for years but even though she cancelled tours and was shown not looking her best, I'm positive I can say on behalf of everyone that they didn't expect her to be found dead (reportedly from an overdose) at such a young age. She was only 27 and my thoughts are with her friends and family at this sad time. I love her songs Rehab, Valerie, Back to Black. It's so hard to believe that she has died.
It's A Beautiful Night, We're Looking For Something Dumb To Do
Pretty happy right now! The sun is shining, I spent three days solid trying to fix my iPod and eventually I did it = long story! and I have nothing to do so I'm free, free, free :) I'll be back tomorrow/ the day after with a new Destination Love post and hopefully will have some interesting things to post next week or it may just be some more of my boring day to day life. My nineteen year old brother is obviously still drunk from going to town last night as we were in my room and he spilt his glass of water and the ice cubes bloody everywhere! So that ended with me having a very wet floor and bed and us both in hysterics. And just this minute, his friend has just fell up the stairs. Guess what? They're going out tonight as well so they'll be even more mortal than they already are!

Update
iPod situation = not good! All last night and I mean for hours, I tried to get my iPod to sync with iTunes so I could put my music on but it wouldn't work. My iPod would connect with the computer but not with the iTunes! I also tried it with another program MediaMonkey which I used for my last iPod because that wouldn't sync with iTunes either but no luck! Being the idiot that I am, I was so fed up last night after trying for ages to get it to sync, that I ended up formatting my iPod. Yes, stupid decision I know! Now, I can't get my iPod on and it says use iTunes to restore but my iPod won't bloody connect with iTunes! I don't know what to do as I've followed all the things on the website and it's still not working. Looks like I'm back at the Apple shop at the weekend to tell them what a fool I've been and see if they can restore it for me :/ This is depressing me as I'm missing my iPod so I'm going to move on.
On a more pleasant note - an update on my 'education' haha. As I'm starting sixth form in September, the place I'm going was holding an 'open day' where we could get even more information about the four A-Level's we want to take and have the opportunity to get advice but most importantly meet our new tutors and new tutor class! I haven't actually made any new friends yet apart from one last week also called Becca (hehe!) when me and my friend went to the History 'Bridging Day' The good news is, I'm in a class with someone I know and a close friend so I'm pleased about that! P.S. The Classics teacher is an absolute hoot! Everyone there couldn't stop laughing as he's so funny! I hope I get him for my classics teacher but the other woman seems pretty nice too. Hoping to be able to go on their additional trip to Greece in Year 12 and Italy in Year 13. Aghhhh! Exciting stuff!
And another thing - if you don't already follow this girl follow her now! Furree Katt is someone that I've followed for absolutely ages but this one post is one everyone should read :)

When Technology Stabs You In The Back!
For my birthday in December, I got the new iPod nano and all was great until this morning. I have over 700 songs on my iPod. Not really sure why because I never listen to all of them but it's great putting it on shuffle and old songs popping on. I love listening to old songs! Last night I was listening to my iPod through my docking station and then I turned it off, watched television, watched a film and went to bed. When I pressed the 'wake' button on the top this morning my iPod would not turn on. Great! So, I tried to charge it up using my docking station and with the USB in the laptop but guess what? It still wouldn't work and started to go really hot - and I mean really HOT!
When me and my mam went shopping today, we popped along to the Apple store and got an appointment. As my mam was waiting in a queue to pay for some clothes, I went to my little appointment by myself and explained to the man what the problem was. Little clever clog that he was after looking at it with his little light thing, he said it had got water in the iPod but as it was still under guarantee so I could get another one the same. I suppose it having had water damage (I have no idea how!) kinda makes sense why the iPod was heating up when I plugged it in!
As much as this is great as my other one was quite scratched, I now have to spend the night putting all my songs and playlists back onto my new iPod on my incredibly slow laptop, which totally stresses me out because it's so slow! When technology fails you, eh?!

'Until The End' - Sirius Black
Today I went with my friend Amie to see Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part Two and I can tell you - it did not dissapoint! It was amazing; emotional, funny, witty and an incredible way to end ten years of magic! I'm sure everyone will agree with me when I say that J.K. Rowling has the most imaginative mind ever created. To come up with Harry Potter and the magic behind him including Hogwarts and the Horcruxes is incredible. There won't be any spoilers in here because I don't want anyone to read them in case they haven't seen the film yet. All that I will say is that I really liked how you learnt more about Snape and his 'story' and that Neville had his time at being the hero. I watched all of the films last week leading up to see the final one today. I watched part 1 last night and was so excited for the film today. I just want to say that J.K's 'big seven' all did such a brilliant job - Harry, Hermione, Ron, Luna, Neville, Ginny and Tom. I love Luna - she is such a great character!
P.S. I also had a lovely lunch at Frankie & Benny's before the film. Such a great day!

A Lovely Day Turned Very Stressful!
So today me and my mam had a good old shop courtesy of her credit card. I got some lovely new tops from Primark (they don't even look like Primark tops!) and from the sales in New Look. Some good bargain buys! I can't wait to wear my new clothes and new sandals but I have to wait until my holiday first :( I'm sure I could sneakily wear a couple first, for more 'important occasions' of course.
Then we we got back, my mam went along to the school to pick my twin brothers up and their friend who was staying for tea. He's a right handful to start with but before that could bother me, I had a more stressful ordeal.
I was on a walk with my dog and we had just got to the big field at the top when out of absolute nowhere, a brown, wiry haired dog popped up and started to play with my dog, Jess. I think it was some kind of terrier but I'm not really sure. I looked around and around the field for ages trying to spot an owner for this dog but guess what there wasn't one. Me being me, started to panic a bit and think 'well what the hell am I going to do with a dog who doesn't have an owner in sight and won't let me look at his collar because he was so flighty?!' Eventually after about 6-8 minutes trying, I finally got its collar but to my absolute no luck, there was no name or address. I could have screamed! Isn't that the most important thing to do? Have a tag on a dog's collar with it's name and address incase it gets lost?!
I didn't want to leave the dog by itself incase no one came and in case the dog wandered off onto the road (there's a main road close to the field) so I paced around trying to spot someone. Eventually, a man appeared on the field saying 'bad boy' to the dog. So I went up to him and said I've been trying to find his owner for ages, and I didn't just want to leave him on the field by himself. I told him that I eventually got a hold of his collar to look if there was a name or address but there wasn't on. Trying to hint on that he should have a name tag or at least a phone number because then I could have phoned or if there was an address I would have tried to find his home. He just dismissed what I said, told me that his dog had escaped from his back garden and didn't even say thank you! What a bloody cheek! He was actually quite rude. Anyway, I'm glad that is over and thought I'd share this stressful ordeal with a 'stray' dog who I didn't want to abandon.
