A Lovely Day Turned Very Stressful!

So today me and my mam had a good old shop courtesy of her credit card. I got some lovely new tops from Primark (they don't even look like Primark tops!) and from the sales in New Look. Some good bargain buys! I can't wait to wear my new clothes and new sandals but I have to wait until my holiday first :( I'm sure I could sneakily wear a couple first, for more 'important occasions' of course.

Then we we got back, my mam went along to the school to pick my twin brothers up and their friend who was staying for tea. He's a right handful to start with but before that could bother me, I had a more stressful ordeal.

I was on a walk with my dog and we had just got to the big field at the top when out of absolute nowhere, a brown, wiry haired dog popped up and started to play with my dog, Jess. I think it was some kind of terrier but I'm not really sure. I looked around and around the field for ages trying to spot an owner for this dog but guess what there wasn't one. Me being me, started to panic a bit and think 'well what the hell am I going to do with a dog who doesn't have an owner in sight and won't let me look at his collar because he was so flighty?!' Eventually after about 6-8 minutes trying, I finally got its collar but to my absolute no luck, there was no name or address. I could have screamed! Isn't that the most important thing to do? Have a tag on a dog's collar with it's name and address incase it gets lost?!

I didn't want to leave the dog by itself incase no one came and in case the dog wandered off onto the road (there's a main road close to the field) so I paced around trying to spot someone. Eventually, a man appeared on the field saying 'bad boy' to the dog. So I went up to him and said I've been trying to find his owner for ages, and I didn't just want to leave him on the field by himself. I told him that I eventually got a hold of his collar to look if there was a name or address but there wasn't on. Trying to hint on that he should have a name tag or at least a phone number because then I could have phoned or if there was an address I would have tried to find his home. He just dismissed what I said, told me that his dog had escaped from his back garden and didn't even say thank you! What a bloody cheek! He was actually quite rude. Anyway, I'm glad that is over and thought I'd share this stressful ordeal with a 'stray' dog who I didn't want to abandon.

  1. I hate people who act like that! I mean, that dog could have gotten lost or hurt if you hadn't been there, and the man was so rude as to not even say thank you! People should really put at least a phone number on their dog's collar, there's always a chance they could get lost!

  4. i think it was so considerate of you to stay with the dog till you found the owner! if it were me, i would have fun in the opposite direction (it's not that i don't like dogs, it's just that i get nervous around the hyper ones). and that man was such a meanie. -_-
at least you got yourself some new clothes :D hurray! ♥

  5. That reminds me of an ordeal I once had. I saw some kids alone in a building filled with people. They stayed alone for around 30 minutes to an hour and I grew more and more worried. I saw some creepy guys staring at them from time to time, so I felt kind of responsible for them (I was kidnapped as a child), and told someone I felt uncomfortable leaving them alone without adult supervision.

Lo and behold! the mother had just appeared and heard my comment. I got the nastiest, evilest look you could imagine, but I didn't want to take my words back. These kids were around 4 and 6 years old! Knowing someone was looking out for those kids should have made her happy, not insulted.

Anyway, I just wanted to tell you I know how you feel. Thanks for sharing and I bet the clothes look terrific! Have a great day.
