Learning Something New Everyday

It's so true this saying 'you learn something new everyday' so whoever came up with this very famous quote - hats off to you! When I went to the Sixth Form, I adventured off to the psychology session by myself as none of my friends are taking this as one of the four a-levels in September. I was really nervous and it was pretty awkward as no one knew each other. Anyway, they gave us a 'summer task' which everyone taking the subject has to complete along with telling us more about the A-Level and the content. I think this is pretty unfair in a way but also quite a good idea as it's giving everyone an idea of one part of psychology before we start studying it in more detail.

The summer task was about Stanley Milgram and his controversial experiment and we have to create an information sheet. I've already done some research on him, in the last couple of days, and his experiment about 'obediance to authority' but not the actual task. I'm putting that off until I have absolutely nothing to do but will probably do it before I go on holiday in August. I'm definitely not going to leave it until the last minute! Anyway, it's actually really interesting and I was getting pretty stuck into it. I can definitely say I learnt something new! Click on the link above to learn about it and there's a video, which is part one of three (the others are on youtube) This video was made a few years back but shows you exactly how the experiment would have taken place in the 60s. I would explain about it on here but the website does it better haha :)
