Alert: Good Week Coming Up :)

So, tonight the beginning of week is starting as I am going to see Shrek 3 3D at the cinema with my dad and brothers. Yes, I'm fifteen and yes I'm going with my family; but who cares? However I don't really want to see anyone I know hahaha.

On monday I am going to the cinema again to watch Toy Storey 3 3D with my friends so that should also be good. Then on wednesday as my friend suns herself in Mexico! I am going away for three days with my mam, dad and twin brothers. I'm not exactly sure what is happening but I think it is this:
Wednesday: Drive down to Windsor in the car and visit the castle. Then stay over in a hotel on the night time.
Thursday: Legoland then in a hotel on the night time.
Friday: Chessington World of Adventures theme park

Hopefully I should enjoy it and will post about it after I am back. This comes as quite a suprise really because I didn't think we would be going anywhere else this summer. (June I went to Halkidiki in Greece)

Have a lovely saturday :)

It's Official.

Okay, it's official all dogs hate the postman - well my dog does!

I have a two year-old black cocker spaniel called Jess who is lovely with not a bad bone in her body but she is very, very vocal. As we live on a front street, she barks at any person, dog, bike, motorbike that goes past and she doesn't stop until she is shouted back into the house. She likes to do her own thing and tends to sometimes ignore you when she is barking.

Whenever the postman delivers letters through the letterbox, she goes wild barking and barking for ages. She isn't vicious or anything she just likes to bark. The other day I was hanging washing out in the garden when what happens, the postman comes through the gate. So, I try to stop Jess going to see him, but too late and there she is barking at him and her bark goes right through you! I tried not too laugh as he just stood there letting her sniff his foot while she was just barking at him. Anyway, today I took her on an early walk and the postman is coming along the street and off she goes again. Talk about embarrassing as I was walking along the front street trying to get my dog to shut up!

I always thought that it was just a territory thing but we were nowhere near our house today so it wasn't that today. It must be the uniform too!

Living The High Life

How gorgeous is this apartment in LA - just look at those views! (I think I might be just a little scared waking up and thinking I'm going to fall though.) Enjoy.

The apartment is gorgeous, the views are stunning and it's in sunny LA. Would you like to live here? I'm sure I could get used to being so high up!

Setting a Goal

Okay, so I think this maybe my third post of the day but hey that's what blogging is about. So, tonight I went to the gym (the first time in months) with my mam and my weight-loss regime has finally began again. Hopefully I'll be able to shed the weight before Christmas time. I know Christmas is still along time away but I feel that is a good time to set a goal for and it is also my birthday in that month.

I don't want to bore you any further with this so I won't but I may add some parts in over the next few months in my posts. I hope I will have made some good progress!

Hope you have all had a lovely wednesday :)

Inspirational Quotes

Some miss-match quotes that I found today which are inspirational and very true.

'I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right. You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.'  -Marilyn Monroe

'Everyone is a star and deserves a chance to shine.'  - Marilyn Monroe

'You may only be someone in the world but to someone else, you may be the world'  -Unknown

'Don't frown because you never know who is falling in love with your smile' - SinVye St Tan

'Don't take life to seriously because you'll never get out alive' - Josh Shippe

'Never be afraid to try, remember...Amateurs built the ark, Professionals built the Titanic' - Unknown

'A mere friend will agree with you but a real friend will argue' - Russian Proverb

Give me something to do!

As the summer holidays set in (and its only the first week!) boredom is starting to come thick and fast. My younger brothers are away at the caravan until tomorrow with my grandparents, my mam and dad are at work, my older brother is not much company and I am stuck in the house...doing nothing.

Facebook, Blogger, walking my dog and even reading is only preoccupying me for a few hours and I have nothing else to do! I would go to the gym but I'm going to tonight, I would go to the cinema but I don't have loads of money, I would just go out but there's no where to go! I shouldn't complain I know because as soon as I am back at school I will not want to be there but aghhh...give me something to do!

Cuties.

I found these few pictures off various tumblrs today. Is it just me or are these very cute?

Life Is Simple.

Lets be honest; life is very simple. We may have all these complex technologies, iPads and iPhones with however-many applications but to live a happy, healthy life all we need are the simple things. In many ways, I prefer the simple things; reading books, going to the beach and walking my dog through the cornfields on a summers day.

Imagine life around hundred years ago. All that those people know about were doing the housework (no hoovers, dishwashers etc.), re-reading battered hardback books and sewing. Sometimes, my mind wanders and I wonder what it would have been like to live in those centuries where ladies were never to show their ankles!

After watching Amish: The World's Squarest Teenagers on Channel 4 on Sunday (UK) it occured to me how different ,and in some ways wrong, how young adults actually spend their time and behave. I'm not sure if anyone else watched it as most people my age would probably have been out drinking not watching a documentry on teenagers that believe in the very simple, simple life. I first came across people that were Amish, whilst I was reading a book by Jodi Picoult called Plain Truth and as I was interested to learn more I watched the first of four programmes on television.
Anyway back to the point. The Amish live so simply it is how people lived in the 17th century. They do not have transport, only horse and cart, they do not drink alcohol, smoke or go out 'clubbing'. The Amish do not watch television or have any technologies such as laptops, mobiles or i-pods. They work on their farms all day, handmake their own clothes and do not wear make-up or cut their hair.

They believe God made them like this so they should stay that way. Although their lives are very different to ours, they still have the same principles and are very happy...living simply.

Although I love using my laptop, mobile etc. and without technologies I would not be writing (well typing) this post because Blogger wouldn't exist!

Wouldn't it be nice though to not be judged by what your wear, look like or do?

Wouldn't it be nice to have days just walking under the summer sun with family and friends with not a care in the world?

Wouldn't it be nice to be written a letter and not be sent a quick e-mail?!

Even though, we have technologies and aeroplanes and cars etc. etc. We still live simply by reading books or even watching television on a night time.

What do you love to do which is simple?

Living life to the full!

The Idea of Perfection.

The idea of perfection?

If I asked a handful of people this, everyone would have different answers because everyone has different opinions. People, myself included - even though I shouldn't -, may think 'err what's he/she doing with him/her - they're horrible.' But really we have no right do we? Because everyones Idea of Perfection is different.

I began reading a book around a month ago called The Idea of Perfection but have not actually finished it because, to be quite honest I found it quite boring. However the parts I had read really made me think of what perfection for me would be. In the book, two totally different people, who if you spotted on the street, you would not like what they were wearing or what they looked like. But it shows that there is someone out there for everyone...even if they are not perfect in every single way.

Real girls are not perfect and perfect girls are not real. Right? Everyone has their fall backs and their little habbits that do not make them perfect.

For myself, I know that I am not perfect because as I have already said; nobody is. I want someone that makes me laugh, loves doing the things I want to do ... but also someone that does things that totally irritate me! - because in the end, you will love them things about that person.

Anyway who wants to be perfect? With everyone being perfect, that makes everyone the same and that would just be boring.
What is your idea of perfection in someone else?

Time for a change?

Today, I returned once again to my old primary school for work experience. It wasn't that much of a change though as my younger twin brothers attend there and I have been in with them. My work experience took place in the nursery and the children were just adorable. Talk about innocent; one boy was kissing a girl repeatedly on the cheek and they were just giggling about it, going to the toilet in full view of the teachers and drinking their milk in a circle on the mat. I have to say that I fully enjoyed today and can't wait to go back in for the rest of the week. I was told 'i love you' from a few four year old girls, that my name Rebecca was lovely ... and my feet were attacked by a boy pretending he was a shark - I couldn't get him off and as he grabbed hold of my leg, I nearly fell over while carrying a plate of oranges! It has been one thing after the next and looking at how the teacher greeted, talked and taught the children, I can't wait to be the one at the front of the classroom!

Anyways, back to the present tense.
I feel like there is a change coming and quite frankly I think I want it or maybe need it. But, I can definately say that it isn't about my future career.
I'm totally 'sick' of people thinking that everything they say is more important than what other people say, I'm fed-up of doing the same things again and again; I feel like I need someone/something to come into my life and...well change it a little. I suppose it's nothing serious just small little things.

On a more positive note, I can't wait to leave secondary school next year; I hate doing things I don't like. Yes, I know you have to do things you do not like in your life but some things in school are just pointless. I'm excited to begin my future properly next year when I go to sixth form and finally open up my options and meet new people.

I saw this ... and I loved it!

Anyone feel this way?

A Little Bit Of Everything...

Hello again Bloggers! This post will be about a few things since I last blogged - nearly a week ago! So start with:

1) Hope everyone has had a good week. For me, nothing much has really happened and it has just been an ordinary week for me. On Friday, it was my last official day of school until I go back in September for my last year. As for the weekend, I must say I had a bit of a film weekend. I love watching films and as I was free of homework and was not going out, I decided to watch a few films.
Friday Night - Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging
Saturday - Toy Storey 2
Saturday Night - Twilight
Sunday - Alice in Wonderland
Sunday Night - Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

2) Today, I visited The Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle, County Durham on a school visit. To be quite honest it was not the most interesting trip I have ever been on but for a art museum, it was okay. As my Textiles class are studying Art Nouveau, I kinda guessed it wouldn't be brilliant because I am not that interested in art but it was a day out of school, right?

3) The weather this evening. So as I sit typing this, legs crossed, on my bed, the rain is pounding outside my window. And I thought it was supposed to be July! Talk about putting a 'downer' on your day but as I stood in the bus stop with my friend earlier today as the heavens opened up, the rain did help in making us both very hyper. (Haha) Hopefully, the weather will get better as the week goes on and the UK will finally be able to enjoy the summer.

4) Okay, so some people may not agree with this but is it just me or is We No Speak Americano, one of the most annoying songs ever! I know some people love it (my friend included) but I just can't get away with it. 'Suppose everyone has their opinons though.

5) However, on a more positive note in music right now, I am loving a few songs. One of my favourite is Love Whe Way You Lie by Eminem ft. Rihanna. It is just brilliant! If you havn't heard it, please do - you will love it!

6) For the rest of the week, I am doing work experience at my local primary school, which I also attended, and I am in the nursery. Personally, I can't wait! As, I want to be a primary teacher, I am sure this will help a lot and I cannot wait to play with the nursery children! I am sure it will be excellent and I will enjoy it!

7) Finally, (I promise this is the last one) I really want to see the new film Inception with the brilliant Leornado DiCaprio. I know it hasn't been released yet in the UK, but has anyone seen it who does not live here. If so, please let me know! I think it looks really good but would love to hear some of your opinions.

Enjoy the rest of your evening :)

'Your voice is sweet and it's singing me a song...'

Just a quick post...

At the minute I am in love with Diana Vickers new album: Songs from a tainted cherry tree. To be quite honest, I didn't think her album would be so good... but I love it. It's so sweet and her songs are brilliant. The title is a line from her song 'My Hip' but could totally be said about her voice and songs.

I could listen to it all night and is always on repeat through my earphones!

I recommend you check it out! :)

Q.O.T.D - Happiness

Quote of the day:

When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us.

Helen Keller

Whilst drifting into sleep.

I don't think that I am the only one that thinks of everything and anything, while lying in bed trying to get to sleep. While you lay there, snuggled up in your duvet covers, everything runs through your mind at full speed. Whether that be how you could have answered back to a comment or how an argument could have been won and what you could have said or even a list of what you are going to do or buy over the upcoming months.

As the rain pounded down last night as I tried to get to sleep after midnight, memories rushed through my head, too quick to catch them and think about them and then I remember thinking of the future and what it actually holds for me. Hopefully, everything that I have wanted; to be successfull, to love and be loved and to be healthy and happy - I think that is what everyone wants as they grow up, right? Sometimes it doesn't work out that way because of course there are twists and turns with every step that change the direction your going in, but I am determined to be where I want to be.

Weird things go through my mind before I go to sleep and like last night I had a 'weird' thought as I started to drift off; 'what a strange word 'bed' actually is.' I know right, totally weird. I pondered this for maybe five minutes but I can't actually remember anything else that I thought of.

However, most of the time if I do think of things before I go to sleep, I can never remember anything about them or if I do, I am not sure if it was a dream or not.

What do you think of before you go to sleep?

O.M.G!

Okay, so there may be more important things happening right now... but I thought I'd post about the amazing Eclipse. Last night, me and two friends went to the cinema to watch the third enstalment of The Twilight Saga and it totally lived up to our excited expetactions.

With new character Riley in this film but also sadly departing, this film directed by David Slade was much more sinister and dark - with a lot of fighting. If you havn't already seen the film... don't worry I won't reveal any spoilers! However, if you are a massive fan and a twilighter through and through, like myself, you will probably already know the full story!

Forget R-Patzz as the old fashioned, traditional Edward Cullen from the 20th Century, forget Taylor Lautner as Jacob the werewolf in love with his best friend and Edward's girlfriend, forget Jacob's amazing torso (just for a second, mind you) and turn your attention to Xavier Samuels as Riley.

Yes, yes I know he is a bad vampire who kills everyone and tries to kill the main characters but have you seen him? He is gorgeous! :) When he first appearead on the screen, I joined my friend in screaming for him as she shouted 'Riley! Wooooo!' :) But as he has now departed from the films :(, we can turn our gazy eyes back to Jacob's six pack! :)

If you havn't seen the film yet, you will love it! As the saga continues, the films definately get better and better! Now, I can't wait untill Breaking Dawn Part 1 and Part 2!

This is what me and my friends had on our hands,
in support of Riley!
