30 Days of Truth - Day Seventeen

Day Seventeen - A book that you've read which has changed your views on something...

I thought this one would be easy to answer because I've read quite a few books but I wasn't sure if the books that I have read have actually changed my views on something. I suppose one book that I have read that made a view much clearer in my mind was in the book 'Picture Perfect' by Jodi Picoult. Jodi Picoult's books are all about family life, relationships and problems that can arise in our day-to-day life and I'm quite a fan of her books.

In this particular book (NO SPOILERS) she shows us that even if people have lots of money, can buy the latest cars, mansions and thousands of shoes it doesn't make them happy. I already knew that money isn't everything in life and that is why I named my blog by the name it has - because I find the simple things in life make me the happiest. Yes, I love something new and whatnot and I do agree it makes you happy. Anyway, this book reinforced my view and can show even the best life, the best marriage you can dream of has cracks deep down and that you do not need to be perfect or infact nothing/no one is perfect!

I really enjoyed this book and recommend it to fellow book readers. If you have read it or any other books by the same author let me know :)

'Whoever said money can't buy happiness, didn't know where to shop' - Gertrude Stein

Well in response to this, you clearly have never seen the film 'Confessions of a Shopoholic!' :) Have a lovely day!
